CITIES THAT DON’T SLEEP

CITIES THAT DON’T SLEEP
With winter approaching, we’re now coming into the perfect season for a city break. Explore some of Europe’s best nightlife spots including Madrid, discover somewhere new in Tel Aviv, or join the 24 hour party Las Vegas. However you want to spend your nights abroad, we’ve got some great ideas to get the fun started…

MADRID

Bursting with lively squares, live music venues and tapas bars, Madrid is the place to be for entertainment. In the day you can tick off all the art galleries and museums around the Golden Triangle of Art, and shop till you drop at designer boutiques and Mercado De San Miguel food market. But Madrid really comes to life late at night with parties going on until sunrise. Discover the best sports around the city, including the Literary Quarter for its versatile bars, Lavapiés for the multicultural crowd of partygoers, or Princesa for its youthful energy.

LISBON

Lisbon has more than just good looks on its side. This modern city is still rooted in its past and oozing with charm and character. It’s one of the friendliest cities and there’s something for every interest, whether that’s art, history or music. Quiet narrow side streets meet bustling pedestrians on every corner, and you can find a café at almost every turn. Explore Lisbon’s Chiado and Principe Real districts for shopping and interiors, while Barrio Alto is great for local restaurants, street art and wine bars. There’s plenty of rooftop bars too, like Silk Club, Park and Sky Bar.

TEL AVIV

Long days at the beach and late nights out on the town are the essence of Tel Aviv holidays. Sitting on Israel’s Mediterranean coast, its unique position means you get the best of both a city break and relaxing beach escape. A perfect place for couples and families, Tel Aviv is bursting with ancient charms around the Jaffa area, flea markets and chic boutiques, and live music bars that will keep you dancing until the early hours. Head to Allenby Street for the main hub of activity, but you can also choose from theatre and opera too.

MARRAKECH

Rich in culture and religious traditions, ever popular Marrakech will also leave your senses invigorated and your taste buds satisfied. A great destination for food lovers, Marrakech is home to vibrant spice souks and traditional café’s serving Moroccan sweets, tagines and mint tea. The modernised new town is full of cosy international restaurants and late-night dancing spots, while the Medina and Djemaa el-Fna are crammed with street food stalls and magical entertainers. There’s no real clubbing scene here, but you can soak up the vibrant atmosphere well into the night.

LAS VEGAS

Las Vegas didn’t get the nickname Sin City for no reason. The strip is lined with swanky hotels, casinos and clubs that make this infamous party destination a hit. Once a playground for the rich and famous, Vegas welcomes everyone from couples and road trippers, to hen parties and stag dos. Vegas’ 24-hour nightlife, international DJ line-up and magical stage shows are the biggest draws, as well as having the Grand Canyon on its doorstep.
